Lauren Erickson is a point guard on the PACT girls varsity basketball team. She has been playing basketball for 7 years but this was her first year on the varsity team. Lauren says she is undecided on whether or not she will continue to play basketball after high school. She also said that she doesn’t really care whether or not she gets a basketball scholarship and that she’s not relying on it for college. Lauren said that she enjoys playing basketball because she has friends on the team and it gives her a chance to connect with them and become closer. She doesn’t play for any other teams outside of PACT but she does play soccer for the PACT team.

Lauren said that as a team they are doing pretty well and that their stats are better this year than they were last year. She said that she’s not doing as well as she would hope this year, but she is doing the best she can. Lauren says she has been working hard and that she did improve on her dribbling. She also said that she wishes she could have worked on not turning over the ball as much by making better passes. If there is anything she could have done differently, Lauren says that she would have, “worked harder on making the easy pass,” or the pass that is open instead of one that is harder. She is “always happy, has a good attitude, is a very hard worker and is a great team motivator”.
