“A good player pushes himself, but a great player pushes others.”-B.O.

Bennett Olson is a PACT varsity basketball player. He has been playing basketball for the last 6 years. Bennett plans to play basketball after high school and hopes to get a scholarship, but he thinks that it’s unrealistic. He said that he enjoys playing basketball because, “I like how I am able to push myself and others to be better.” Bennett also plays soccer and is planning to play baseball this season for PACT. In the spring he also plays on an AAU Organization.

Bennett said that this season the team has been coming along and he has been doing pretty well himself. When asked to rate his team he stated that, “On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being as hard as we worked over this season, I say a 7.” Since he’s the captain he said that he would give himself a 7, because he could have pushed his team more. When asked what he wished he could have done differently he said that during the off season he wished he had pushed his teammates to work harder. He wishes he had, “had them practice skills like dribbling, shooting and increasing our conditioning to build endurance.”

Personally, he said that he wished he had worked on getting stronger. This season Bennett improved a lot on his leadership skills and he learned to always put the team first. Fellow teammate Parker Maahs said that Bennett is , “Outgoing, a hard worker and a good motivator.”
