Student Spotlight: Cooperation

We have started something new in journalism and that is doing a student spotlight. Student spotlights are great for school spirit, because then sometimes people might see their friend or someone they know and want to be the next student for this. This is for all of the secondary 7th through 12th, and they will receive this for showing the month's character quality the best.

This month's character quality is cooperation. Cooperation means, assistance, especially by a ready compliance with requests, the process of working together to the same end, the formation and operation of cooperatives. At PACT, cooperation means working well in small groups in class, helping out when asked, and pulling your own weight in a group project. Using these ideas, teachers determine who shows this trait the best. So now let’s see who won it for this month.

Jo Collins was selected for the 7/8 student spotlight for showing the most cooperation in class. She earned this because “He gets his work done, and he will also help people if they need help.” Miss Gangl said.Jo is an 8th grader here at PACT and has been at PACT since 2nd grade, and is a great person to meet. Jo’s hopes for the students here at PACT are: “ to have the students treat teachers with more respect and other students with more respect.” Jo said. Jo’s own personal hopes for his future is, “To become a pro soccer player, and I will get there by going to a European academy team, and get moved up to a higher level in the academy team.”

Mia Rose Peters was selected for the 9/10 student spotlight for showing the most cooperation in class. She earned this because “She gets her work done and does a great job working in a group.” Miss Gangl said.

Mia is in 9th grade and has been a student at PACT since kindergarten and is very bright and has a bubbly personality. Mia’s hopes for this school are: “I hope they will use the opportunities they have been given to learn and grow as students.” Mia said.

What she hopes for her own future is that ” I hope to graduate in 2020, go to college, and get a job as an interior designer.”

Karl Heiberg was chosen by Mr. Mathews for the student who has shown the most cooperation. “Karl is very cooperative. He is a great group mate, makes sure that they are on task and have them get their work done. He makes sure to ask the teacher great questions to make sure that his work is on track. He also does his best to encourage his group mates.” Mr. Mathews said

Karl is an 11th grader here at PACT and has been going since he was in kindergarten, and is a great person to meet. His hopes for students here at PACT are: “To get a good education.” said Karl.

Karl’s own hopes for his future is to,”Get into a good college graduate and have a good paying job.”

Great job everyone, keep up the great work. For all of you who are reading keep up your great work, and also if you are struggling with somethings try to make them better, because who knows you could be on the next student spotlight.
