**Warning: Spoilers...

I'm sure you’ve heard of the great TV show Sherlock. It has changed a ton this season. But it is still really good. There are some great plot twists in it and it continues to be entertaining. It also stays with how the show used to be for the most part. It does what most shows never do.

In episode 1 of Sherlock, a lot happens. In the beginning of the episode, Mary Watson (John Watson's wife) had a baby. She gave her baby her birth name which was Rosamund. A bit later in the episode, Sherlock gets a case that has baffled everyone. A boy was found dead in a car after it was hit. The car exploded but the boy that was in the car had already been dead for a week. The same day he died he called his father and was supposedly out of the country. The boy actually recorded a video from when he was out of the country and planned it. He hid in his car and was going to surprise his dad because it was his birthday. He had a seizure in the car and died then and there and was found a week later when the car was hit. While investigating the scene Sherlock noticed something odd. There was a table of pictures all laid out perfectly but there was something missing in the middle. The family said there was a break in and someone broke it and left. A statue was broken. There were only a few statues ever made and it turns out a USB drive was hidden in one of them and it contained the whole backstory of Mary. Mary was part of a team of agents called A.G.R.A. 2 of the agents were killed during a mission. It was thought a third died. He was still alive. He thought the others died because Mary betrayed them. It wasn't Mary. Someone else called Mary and altered the mission even though it was never supposed to be changed. Because he thinks it was Mary who caused them to die he wants to kill her. Sherlock and Mary try to find who wanted to kill her and the person who betrayed Marry. When they found the person who betrayed Mary the person tried to shoot Sherlock. Mary takes the bullet for him and dies. John Watson was extremely upset with Sherlock and stopped talking to him. At the end of the episode, Sherlock finds a video Mary left for sherlock telling him to save John.

I liked how they kept most of it the same. Most people thought because it was so long from the last season it was going to change. Sherlock was still Sherlock. It seemed to move a little faster than it had in the past, though. It was very unpredictable as usual and had bits of humor. The only different thing about the first episode was that John Watson wasn't in it as much as he normally is. There is an obvious reason for that. One thing that they changed was how it shows Sherlock's thoughts. It gives more visuals than it used to. I personally don't like it. It's kind of annoying.

Another thing I liked was the plot twists. Mary being killed was a huge plot twist. I figured the thing with the statues would have been about Moriarity. Sherlock even though it was something to do with him. It turned out to be connected to Mary though and eventually led to her death. On top of that Sherlock and John aren't getting along. The normal scenario of John and Sherlock doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. It definitely makes me want to watch more. Mary is still in it which is nice. John imagines her and she helps him through things. I really like that they did that. I would have never thought they would have done that.

I do understand why people dislike it. John Watson isn't really in it much the first episode. It's more focused on Mary. People liked Mary so I get that they don't like that they killed her off. To make the story interesting they had to spice it up. It would have been boring if they continued to do the same stuff. Moriarty is interesting but they have already focused on him. Mary's past is a secret so it's cool that they're showing more of it. Another thing that will definitely keep it interesting is the relationship between Sherlock and John Watson. Watson hates Sherlock now because he blames him for the death of Mary. Sherlock feels like his world has come falling down on him. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out.

If you don't like this season of Sherlock simply don't watch it. I mean who would want to watch a great TV show that tries hard to keep its watchers interested? Why would you want to ever watch a show that's completely unpredictable? If you enjoyed the first few seasons of the show definitely watch the new stuff. It´s really good. Hopefully, you enjoy it as much as I did.
