Beasts Sequel?

Did you want to move to England to try and find the wizarding world and go to Hogwarts? Look no further, the wizarding world just got a whole lot bigger!

A prequel of the Harry Potter film series has been out in theaters for a while now, the film was produced and written by J. K. Rowling. The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Ron Perlman and Colin Farrell in supporting roles.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was in theaters November 18th, 2016. It received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $683 million worldwide, making it the ninth highest-grossing film of 2016.

It was a great look into the vast wizarding world J. K. Rowling had created. Not only in the community in England but how America deals with their magic and hide from muggles, correction, no-mage.

Making this a prequel to the original Harry Potter books and movies, fans believed there was only to be one, but to surprise and excitement there is confirmation Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will have a sequel.

I know I am excited to be seeing my new favorite, awkward, wizard on the big screen again. Because the first Fantastic Beasts is still somewhat new in theaters there is no trailer or solid storyline behind the upcoming sequel.

All I could find on the sequel now was it would follow Newt Scamander and his adventures. I decided to ask a question on the iPhone app, amino. I had created a community that was solely based around Harry Potter topics. I asked my fellow fans how they thought of this sequel. Most of the feedback was positive, although a few had said they were afraid a sequel may ruin the already fantastic movie.

As the saying goes, the original is always better then the sequel. Knowing Harry Potter, that went on for six movies! And is still going strong, as Fantastic Beasts can prove, the sequel will definitely be something I know I’ll be looking forward to.
