On October 28, 2016, artist Frank Iero released his second album titled Parachutes.

Frank Iero was the rhythm guitar player for My Chemical Romance. He now has his own band because My Chemical Romance broke up on March 22, 2013. After My Chemical Romance broke up he formed frnkiero andthe cellabration and then Frank Iero and the Patience.

According to a post by the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way, the band didn't have a full reason to break up. He went onstage once and for once he found himself detached from the performance. He said it just all began to fade and he decided it was time to end it. Many fans think another reason is because of their different music tastes. Gerard Way's music now is upbeat and much different than his previous music while Frank Iero's is much darker and noisier.

Frank Iero and the Patience consists of Frank who is the lead singer and guitar player, Evan Nestor who is a guitar player, Steve Evetts who is the bass player, and Matt Olsson who is the drummer. frnkiero andthe cellabration was Frank Iero and Jarrod Alexander.

Frank Iero and the patience is considered punk rock. It is much louder and noisier than My Chemical Romance. The songs are also a little darker and seem to have more meaning.

There are 12 songs on the album. There is World Destroyer, Veins! Veins! Veins!, I’m a Mess, They Wanted Darkness…, I'll Let You Down, Remedy, Dear Percocet, I Don’t Think WE Should See Each Other Anymore., Miss Me, Oceans, The Resurrectionist, or An Existential Crisis in C#, Viva Indifference, and 9-6-15.

Frank Iero says the album is named parachutes because ”Parachutes are life-saving devices. We rely on them to bring us back from the brink of death. Whether we fall or jump they are the only things keeping us alive. Such as with life, we are all just falling or plunging to an eventual end, but the love of my family and my ability to create art and music has always been my parachute. The act of living can be random and strange, beautiful and ugly at the same time and the only thing that is undeniably certain is eventually we are all gonna hit the ground. Some of us plummet at an incredible rate and it’s over in a flash, but some of us get saved and are able to enjoy the view for a little while. This album is one of my parachutes.”

Frank Iero says he change the name because when he first started he brought a band that filled in the gaps of what he lacked. He was uncomfortable and wanted to bring a cellabration to distract from his awkwardness. Now he says he needs to learn how to slow down and love where he is. He says he needs the patience to appreciate the now.

In 2012 while he was still in My Chemical Romance he made his basement office into a makeshift studio and began writing and recording music. After My Chemical Romance broke up he continued to work on his own music and eventually released his first album titled Stomachaches. On the record, he plays every instrument except for drums which were played by former My Chemical Romance drummer Jarrod Alexander.

There were a lot of mixed feelings about Frank Iero's music. Rob Sayce from Rock Sound Magazine described his first album as “Scrappy, Idiosyncratic and infectious as hell, far removed from the well-oiled machine of latter-day My Chemical Romance, and all the more bracing for it.” There were positive comments about his music though describing it as passionate. The album was included at number 40 on Rock Sounds “Top 50 albums of the Year” list and Kerrang!s “The Top 50 Rock Albums Of 2014” list so there are obviously lots of opinions on it. His music is much different than My Chemical Romance, though.

Hopefully, Frank Iero continues to create music and maybe even does some music with other previous My Chemical Romance members.
