The Grand Tour is something spectacular, a show that thousands of Top Gear fans have been waiting a long time to behold. This is an amazing show starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The Grand Tour is a comedy show which has to do with cars; the three hosts travel from different countries every single episode to spice things up for the show.

The Grand Tour had long been awaited by old Top Gear fans for quite a while, the first episode of the show aired November 18th, 2016 as an Amazon Prime exclusive show. A new episode airs every Friday, but there is a twist to each episode. Instead of having a studio, or warehouse to be in, they travel around the globe with a massive tent which is their studio for the day. Here in this tent they host the show, and who hosts this show you may ask? Probably the most iconic group of friends in the world: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May! These three do some of the funniest things you would ever see. From racing Hyper Cars like idiots, to saving the Queen of England from a terrorist kidnapping!

The Grand Tour has a segment in the show were they race your everyday sports car, to million dollar limited production supercars around the “Ebola” Track. Here they have American Nascar Racer, Mike Skinner, shoot around the course as quickly as possible! This makes for some funny moments as Mike Skinner has quite the “potty mouth!” But overall it’s always interesting to watch what he can do in those cars!

In episode two of season one, which is titled “Operation Desert Stumble,” the three hosts go on a mission to save the Queen of England from a terrorist kidnapping. After they save her they had to take her back in safely. But there were many “hardships” along the way, from James and Richard shooting each other, to Jeremy getting stuck in a window! The episode didn’t contain too many facts about cars, but it was still fun to watch.

In the first episode of the show, titled “The Holy Trinity,” the three get 3 Hypercars: James May a Ferrari LaFerrari, Richard Hammond with a Porsche 918, and finally, Jeremy Clarkson with the McLaren P1. The three then have their cars raced around a race track in Portugal. Here they had a professional racecar driver take the 3 cars around as fast as possible, to see which car would be the fastest. This created a lot of suspense and was quite funny, especially because Jeremy Clarkson bet the other two that if his McLaren P1 did not win, he would let them break down his house!

Episode two of the show got a lot of negative reviews for being too forced with jokes, and for not having enough things to do with cars. However, even if this episode may have been a flop, The Grand Tour has a 100% Rotten tomato rating and is 3 times more popular than Amazon Prime’s second most popular show! Obviously, the three are doing something right.

Even if you aren’t that interested in cars, The Grand Tour is still an amazing and funny show to watch. There are amazingly crisp camera shots, and a hilarious group of immature men - you have nothing to lose! So go get yourself an Amazon Prime account, and start watching now. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
