Go, Go, Power Rangers!

Go, go, Power Rangers! Was a theme I looked forward to hearing when I was young. Throughout the years the Power Rangers had many silly adaptations, each all targeting young audiences. Using more then obviously fake and cheesy special effects and childish themes I still love looking back on the adored TV show.

Now that I have gotten older I haven't seen any more of the Power Rangers, until it was brought to my attention. About a week ago Monday I went to see Doctor Strange, before the movie started I was interested in the trailers of the upcoming shows. One that's really caught my attention was what seemed to look like and action packed thriller, that's special effects reminded me of transformers. The movie looked interesting nonetheless, but when the title came on the screen I was shocked: Power Rangers.

I had to do more research. I looked into it more, this reboot was for the original and first Power Rangers. Following the Pink, Yellow, Blue, Red, and Black Rangers in their fights. Which I found unbelievably hilarious. In my opinion the Original is the silliest of them all, being targeted by young audiences and the cheesy special effects that made sense for that time.

Watching through the trailer again and seeing this as an action pact, extreme special effects thriller? With updated suits and megazords, I am more than a little interested. This movie has gotten enough publicity to start selling toys! But because of Hollywood’s tendency for ruining childhood shows by making terrible movies, I am hesitant to think this won’t go down a rabbit hole of terrible.

“This my my childhood Hollywood! Don’t ruin it!” yelled a fellow theater goer as the railer had ended. But with scepticism aside, I am excited for this reboot and how they will show this group of fun loving teens into action heroes.
