PACT Election Views

My topic is the election of 2016. This year has arguably been the worst election yet. A lot of people don’t like either of the candidates. 21% of people say they won’t vote for either of them. For comparison, only 13% said that in 2012.
The election is between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The election is taking place early this November. People will be voting all over the country. The election is taking place because President Obama’s 2nd term is up and it’s time for a new president.
People from outside the country have said "Hillary Clinton must have taken shots of adrenaline before the debate," while another says, "I'm waiting for Hillary Clinton to faint, how about you?"
According to Kelly Wallace of CNN Students at a Middle-School in New Jersey were asked whether or not they thought the presidential candidates played nice. None of them said that they played nice. An eighth grader said “Trump, the Republican businessman, interrupted the Democratic politician way too often” and she was a Trump supporter.
"I think that they should have listened to each other, because ... one of the main things a president needs to have is listening skills for ideas and being open to different thoughts and opinions."
If she treated her siblings or friends the way she thinks the candidates treated each other at the debate, Riya said, she would be grounded for a week or maybe longer. “Candidates didn’t play nice” (2016).
People at PACT have said that these debates were extremely entertaining but they don’t like what was said.
In conclusion, Trump won the presidency. Many people were very upset with the results of the election, but that’s the way things are. But many people were also very happy with the outcome. But who will be the president in four years from now?
