Ben Spande is a Legacy/P.A.C.T. varsity ice hockey player. He has been playing hockey for the last 9 years. Last year, Ben says he mostly plays hockey for the hair, which he is best known for. He jokingly said he wants to go straight to the NHL (National Hockey League) after high school. Hockey is the only sport Ben Spande plays. He does not hope to get a scholarship for his skills. Ben Spande is a right wing. A right wing is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play on the ice is along the outer playing area. He does not play for any other organization.

For this upcoming season, Ben is looking forward to winning a faceoff, the method used to begin play in ice hockey and some other sports, the two teams line up in opposition to each other, and the opposing skaters attempt to gain control of the puck after it is dropped between their sticks by an official. Ben said that since their team is going to be so inexperienced, every little thing will be an accomplishment. He thinks he will do good, but he is not as confident in his team. Jake Myrum, last year's hockey manager, described Ben as hardworking. He was quoted as saying, “Ben is very good at scoring goals, although he needs to work on his stickhandling.” When asked if he had any final thoughts about Ben he said that Ben have a nice smile.
