MATH AND SCIENCE ACADEMY WERE SHUT DOWN BY THE VERY INTIMIDATING PACT PANTHER VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TEAM

PACT’s girl’s varsity volleyball team destroyed Math and Science Academy last Friday at home. Our win came in part because of PACT’s skill, and Math and Science Academy’s lack of follow through.

The score of the last game was 21- 13. In varsity volleyball you have to win ⅗ games, the PACT Panthers won all three of their games. PACT had a few really good plays but we also had our errors which ended up with them scoring 13.

Kailey Hagen, a varsity senior, says “Math and Science had a very poor offense, which made it easier for us to score”

Sophie Hudson, a varsity starter also said, “we can play even better by not playing down to the same level as our opponents.” Hudson also thinks that having an incentive will help a lot, when it comes to attendance for games. That means that we should motivate or encourage everyone else to come to the games. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]

Bennett Olson and Karl Heiberg, loyal 11th grade fans, say that “lots of people were cheering and the fan section was lit!” They also say that “volleyball is one of the best PACT sports.”

Coach Hazelton, coach of the varsity volleyball team, says, “the girls did not have their best game, but because Math and Science was not the strongest team, they were able to pull out a win.”

Amariah Lee says “we had about a regular amount of fans there. Most of the fans are the 11th grade guys.” this sounds to me like we need more support! “We need to get a bigger fan section because when it gets lit we need more room to jump around,” says Olson and Heiberg. They also think we need to hype it up more.

We need to get more people there. Karl and Bennett say that if we do promos and videos, if we make it sound exciting and lit, we could get more people there.

PACT’s Varsity Volleyball team is one of the best teams at PACT. We played hard, did our best and pulled out a strong win for our Homecoming game. The season is still moving on. Come cheer on PACT at the upcoming games. Bring your friends, cheer loud and be proud of your school. Go Panthers!
