Homecoming is a school event that happens once a year towards the beginning of school. The dance is probably the most important part of just about any Homecoming week.
This Year at Pact Charter School, this was possibly the biggest homecoming to date for the school with over 100 participants.
Of course, dancing was a big part of this. I had interviewed a couple people and asked them how the dance went and most of them had their own opinions. The majority had said the dancing was good, including Aliya who had said,“It was fun, totally lit.”
Sydney said, ”It was good, had a fun time!” Some thought otherwise, like Parker who had said, “dancing was eh.” Some said that is wasn’t that good, and could have been much, much better.
There were many mixed feelings about how the dancing had gone. From what I could tell it had seemed that people who had previously participated had not liked it nearly as much as people who had gone for the first or second time.
A complaint I had received was that the start of homecoming was very slow, it was only after the Homecoming royalty showed up, that the actual dance begun.
Overall, the main response from people when I asked them if they liked homecoming that night, they had told me is was good or great, very few responses were actually negative about homecoming.
One reason that some people who attended might not have liked homecoming was the DJ. But on the other hand, most people did like him because he took song requests, sure some of the songs that were played killed the vibe of the dance, it was all still pretty fun!
My personal opinion of homecoming was that it was really fun, I had an amazing time there and I hope others did too!
Hopefully, next year homecoming will be better than ever. We will all be waiting to see what the school can plan for this amazing event!
